Wednesday is for Knitting

Weeks go by too quickly. It's Wednesday already?!

We have decided to open our farm and "The Coop"
on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the winter.

These days will be dedicated to alpacas,  yarn, knitting, spinning, etc.

With so many custom knit orders, it seemed like the logical thing to do.
It gives us a few solid days to knit all day and not feel guilty...while also earning money.
We also give knitting, crochet and spinning lessons on these days.
Win Win if you ask me.

So....onto the yarn along....

So fun! I chose Clue 1B. How about you?
Knitting with Madelinetosh Light in Moss colorway.

I am making more progress on a custom order.
Beautiful white alpaca blanket will be for a baby's christening in February.

I have a few other custom knits that are ready to be casted on. It's a blessing to have so many people interested in hand knits. :) Gives me the excuse to knit as much as I can.

Today was so foggy when we woke up!
This is the sun over my neighbor's house. Chase thought it was the moon.

I'm still reading The Book Theif (well, listening to it on my NEW KINDLE!)
Love that thing!!!!!!!!! So fun and now I can knit and read. Yes. Happy.

Happy Knitting!
And if you're local, come by and say hi to the alpacas today!

joining in with Ginny for the weekly yarn along.

    1. The first part is quick! Easy to do in a day or two, so you'll probably be all caught up when clue 2 comes out.

    1. I love fine yarn. For some reason, my hands like it too. Bulky yarn and big needles always hurt my hands. It just takes longer with the fine yarn....but always so pretty in the end.

  5. I love reading your blog and I just realized that you are not that far from my Long Island home. I will have to visit your store sometime. I can't wait to explore it and add some of you yarn to my stash. I have added your blog to the blog list on my own blog. I received a kindle for Christmas and have yet to really use it. I didn't know you could use it for audiobooks.

    1. Come visit!!!!! You should come down when the weather is nice and have a visit with the alpacas. Spring Lake, Belmar, Asbury, Manasquan and Sea Girt are all 5 minutes away from us too. Always a good place to take a day trip.

  7. The Book Thief is on my list. How fun to have a knit shop. Does the pressure of custom orders take away from the joy/fun of knitting?? I don't think I'm fast enough. You Go Girl!!

    1. It's funny that you ask, because I was just saying that knitting custom orders is very different. It feels like work...BUT on the other hand, it's a nice way to make some extra money doing what I love.I don't take many custom orders but I made an exception this holiday season. We have such amazing customers that it's hard to say no. As long as I fit in small personal projects in between those customs, I'm happy.

    1. I just finished up clue 1B last night. It's great so far! I'm a sucker for a lace chart, so that's why I chose that clue. Can't wait for the next clue!
