Yarn Along

Happy Wednesday!

The Jersey Shore was blanketed with a beautiful snowfall yesterday and last night.
The kids have a snow day and we're hanging out enjoying the day off.

I am still busy knitting the baby blanket for a customer and few other custom orders, but in between I have a few little projects I'm also working on. Thought I would share as part of the yarn along.

Calling these my Mucklestone Wristlets from NYC!
I took a class last weekend at Vogue Live with Mary Jane and this was the little project
we worked on to experiment with color use in Fair Isle knitting.
It's a great way to play with color without a ton of time or material investment.
But let me tell you something, I haven't taken them off since I finished them!
They are the perfect wrist warmers :) I'm going to make some more as soon as I can!

More progress on my Follow Your Arrow Mystery Knit Along.
I received Clue #2 and I went with clue 2a. So far my choices were 1B and 2A.
I'm a sucker for a lace chart.

I am super duper excited to have the My Favourite Things Scarf on my needles.
I've been wanting to make this for a few months now but I wanted to wait until after my class
with Mary Jane. What a help it has been! I'm picking patterns from here and there...some of my own designs and some from MaryJane's books. It's going to be my long ongoing project.

Enjoy your snow day folks. Hope you have your alpaca socks on and yarn in your hand :)

Oh...still reading The Book Thief. I just ordered The Goldfinch through Amazon and should have it tomorrow. I can't wait to read it! I picked it for our book club and my friends have already started it. They can't put it down. The anticipation....

Joining in once again with Ginny and all the knitters out there.

  7. Hi there, I just came over from Ginny's. Ooh I love your wrist warmers. They are gorgeous and love the look of your scarf. There is so much to like here. I've heard good things about both your book choices. Enjoy reading, knitting too. I'm off to work on my odds and ends socks now using up left over yarn...I think they're going to be a little quirky!

  9. I love those wristlets. Great color combinations. Your scarf is gorgeous also. Reminds me of a quilt pattern. I need to look into that book of Scandinavian motifs. Isn't snow beautiful. The footprints tell the story.

  15. Your wristwarmers are so lovely! And I'm a bit obsessed with favorite things scarves. One of my goals this year is to learn how to knit colorwork, and I definitely want to make one of those scarves for myself. :)
