Happy, Happy Friday!

Happy Friday guys!
The weekend is almost here. I hear SNOW is in the forecast?? Ugh.
Of course it is. Now that baseball season is in full swing and I am supposed to be at 5 games/practices over the weekend, it's going to be freezing and snowy. 'Tis the beginning of spring in NJ.

Well, at least it gives me an excuse to bundle up in hand knits.

The farm will be open on Saturday. Swing by and say hello!

Have a happy weekend!

Happy Birthday to you whoo whooooooo whoooooooooooooo!

Excited to celebrate two of the 7 boys this weekend.

Today is Shea's 7th birthday!
This boy loves the color red, karate, reading and being silly.
He is Andee's youngest boy. (grabbed this photo from Andee's Facebook page)

And a happy birthday to our middle guy, Garrett! He will be 12 this weekend.
I'm enjoying you watching you grow, seeing the world through your eyes. I feel lucky to be your mom. We are proud of you.

Wishing everyone a happy weekend! Hope you are celebrating something too.

A glimpse

Just a glimpse of what was going on around my house and the farm this morning.
Gathering eggs, preparing the crockpot dinner (can you say butter and beef?!!), knitting, checking on the alpacas.

Knitting: Reyna Shawl in Robin's Roost yarn
Avocado colorway

Robin's Roost etsy shop link here

Knitting project bag, a gift from Seashore Sharon :)
She felts sweaters from thrift shops and sews cute bags.
She doesn't have an etsy shop. She always says she loves sewing so she does it for fun and gifts her creations. Lucky me!!!!!

Have a great week.

What's next for knitting?

I am seaming up my sweater and will be done with it this weekend. So obviously my brain is busy planning what's next for the needles. I used to have many projects going at once but I've found since I started working full time that I like one project at a time. I don't have as much knitting time, so dedicating myself to just one project makes more sense.

So....been searching Ravelry and thought I would share some projects that are on my mind.
My knitting buddy, Joan is going to make a cardigan for her sister so she was sending me some ideas yesterday. I would love to knit a sweater with Joan again. Always fun!

Here's the first.
I really like this one. It could be dressed up, casual, open, closed...I'm picturing it in a mustard yellow color.

Minetta by Kirsten Kapur

I LOVE this shawl!!!!!! Designed by Andrea Mowry and Annie Rowden

This is a fun cowl. Love the drawstring detail and slipped stitch pattern.
Rooted by Chelsea Berkompas

Love this little cardigan.Would be nice in a linen/cotton blend for spring and summer

This big cowl/shawl is awesome
Very "Lizzie"

or this shawl.....Neverwhere by Melanie Berg

So, there's a small collection of things I would like to knit.
Now...if I just had more time and more hands.

What are you knitting or thinking of knitting?

Throwback Thursday

Just pulling up some old farm photos to share on this Thursday. Most of these were taken 2 years ago. Always fun to look back at the older pictures. Some things haven't changed much but some sure have! These kiddos are getting so big!
