Yarn Along

Sorry for being so boring today.
I haven't been knitting much this week.
My body hurts. Stupid body. Haven't really been reading either. I told you...boring.
I'm stillllllll reading Garden Spells and just can't get into it or I get tired and fall asleep.

So, for my boring knitting post today.....

Just wanted to share my mother's day card from Garrett.
It says, Best Knitting Mom Ever. And he made a ball of yarn, needles and yarn ball.
I love it so much.

I dyed some yarn this week. It's inspired by the robin eggs that are in the nest of the window sill.

I plan on knitting a terra shawl with this.

New kiddo books! Stopped by Andee's house last night to let the kids play and she sent me home with lots of kid books. Some were my older boy's books so it's fun to see them again.

A little bit of work done on my Ease sweater.

More work on my Juneberry Shawl.

Some pretty hand spun skeins done by Liz. So pretty!

Joining in with Ginny and all the other knitters.
Happy Knitting!!!

Day 15 : Technology

Day 15 : Technology

Taking my dad's suggestion and going with Technology...NOT!

This is an old adding machine that we used to play with.
Now it sits outside the coop and confuses little kids.

Tomorrow's Word: Animals. I have a feeling I have plenty of things around here to photograph!!!

Day 14 : Movement

Day 14 : Movement

I had to escape my house. Chase is at a very clingy stage and cries if I leave for a second.
That includes going upstairs, going downstairs, going in another room. Fun times.
I had so much to do, but I needed to get both of us away or things were going to get ugly.

So off we went for a peaceful, fun, easy hour at the beach.

I took this picture of the "movement" of the waves. So calming and pretty today.

This was taken at Sea Girt Beach. It was nice to see the boardwalk being replaced. Looking good!

Day 12 : Hands

Day 12 : Hands

 Chubby toddler hands

Mom

Happy Mother's Day to my mom!!!
That's her in the middle with the long braids during her girl scout days.

If you know my mom, you know that this picture is so her.
Always goofy, finds humor in even the worst situations, happy
and making others around her happy.

Smart, hard working, tough as nails, strict in a good way
and generous.

She raised three girls and is now MomMom to 6 little boys.
I am lucky to live next door and see her almost every day.

These days she's the alpaca lady and can be found caring for her herd.

She takes care of those critters like they're her kids!
Always with them and providing them with the best life they can have.

Thank you Mom for being an amazing example of what a mom should be.
We all look up to you and just hope that we can be the moms to our boys as you were to us.

I'm also so happy you are now mom to Harper. MomMom sent you a good one this time.

Happy Mother's Day to my sisters, Andee and Lizzie!
And of course to all moms out there. Enjoy your day!

Day 11 : Something Old

Day 11 : Something Old

This is an old picture of my maternal grandmother.

If I remember correctly, it was with an old letter addressed to my grandfather
while he was away during World War II.
They had met briefly and he was interested in her.
He asked her to send him a picture of herself that showed her profile
so he could remember what she looked like and what her nose looked like.

They married shortly after. I guess her nose was ok.
