Making

My head is still a little fuzzy after last week. I haven't been able to concentrate on reading any books and I have a whole stack waiting for me. But I did manage to keep my hands very busy. I started a small embroidery project that reminded me of my grandmother. She loved to quilt and embroider so I combined both ideas into little piece. I finished it and my friend Seashore Sharon is going to sew it into a bag for me.

I have picked up my Fettle Sweater again. I love knitting it and I think I'll love wearing it. The yarn is so squishy and wooly, my favorite for sweater knitting. I am also knitting a Knit Four Points Baby blanket for a customer. I love this baby blanket so much. A perfect size for little ones. I don't follow the pattern exactly though. I use worsted weight yarn, 10 1/2 needles and I cast on 70 stitches. You can see some of my notes on an older project. I will also be knitting a baby cardigan and bonnet to match.

The flowers have been thriving with the rain (so much rain) we have had so far. But the sun is shining and I enjoyed some time outdoors last night and today. The temperature was perfect with low humidity. Exactly as I like it!

  1. i read this...i thought i left a comment, maybe i got called away from my computer. your flowers are so pretty, they are actually getting too much water. but what can you do when the rain takes over. i have gotten several "inside" projects done, we had dinner outside the other day and like you said, the weather was perfect, we must take the good with the bad and find something joy filled in it!! love the blanket!! i want to start a new project, i'm just not sure what i want to do. i like the blanket that is triangles of all different yarns...i have been thinking about making that for mike!!
