I'm still on the Rhinebeck high. It was amazing, fun, full of smiles and I miss it already.
We headed up as a group on Friday morning. We stopped at our rental house before heading into town for some lunch and Needles Up.
Lunch....we stumbled upon this little burger place called Buns. I found out later that it was voted the Best Hidden Gem Restaurant in the Hudson Valley. I can see why. It was packed when we were there because of the knitters that invaded town and it was also a half day at the schools.
Robin even helped out and served us our food!
After lunch it was time for Needles Up! Thank you to Robin for getting us tickets. What a fun experience!!!! We met the GROCERY GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AH!!!!!! They were just as great in person. We picked up some goodies at the vendors and then took a walk around town.
I was thrilled to see my Fat Squirrel pin in person. And I'm also excited to finally have my own Fat Squirrel bags (which match Andee's exactly! lol) We didn't even notice until after we paid.
Then it was back to our house for cocktails, dinner and fun!
I was spoiled by my housemates with some gifts. That was so nice of them!
We enjoyed some beautiful time outside knitting, drinking wine and enjoying time together.
Thank you to Andee for getting these next two pictures of me in one of my Rhinebeck sweaters.
This is the Super Soul Cardigan.
Time for day 1 at Rhinebeck!!!! Here we go!
My artwork is in the running again this year. I'm #3 and #6. I want to win this thing so badly!
Fan girl time at the podcast meetup on the hill!
The crowds were intense on Saturday. It gets bigger and bigger each year. So heading back to our mountain retreat for relaxation and a yummy dinner. Oh and of course some show and tell.
Time for Day 2! What a difference Sunday is! A MUCH lighter crowd, calmer lines, slower pace.
Much more my speed to be honest.
Leaping Llama contest!!!!!! And goats...and a nun. Can't make this stuff up!
It all had to end :( But it was wonderful. I can't wait for next year!
I came home with lots of memories and lots of goodies to keep me busy for months.
