On My Needles and New Yarn!

My needles have been busy! I casted on my Rhinebeck 2019 sweater. I have always wanted to knit an all-over colorwork sweater. So why not this year?! This is the Wiolakaftan sweater. I am knitting this is a combination of Navia and Cascade 220 yarn that I purchased from my friend Paige's shop, Frame & Fiber in Pt. Pleasant, NJ.

I am also working on this baby sweater for a co-worker's grandson.
I have made this once before. It's an easy knit but I remember having trouble with the zipper last time. Hopefully it will be easier this time!

There is LOTS of new beautiful yarn in the shop! We have new Cascade alpaca, Cascade Lana D'Oro (50% alpaca, 50% wool). All new spring colors. I'm thinking a Birkin by Caitlin Hunter would be perfect in these colors.
Fluffy approves!!!

If you are interested in purchasing the yarn, you can visit the shop on Saturdays 11-4. Details are on our website, arrowacresfarm.com. You also contact Liz anytime and she can send you some!

We still have some farm yarn in stock. And Liz is going to be busy dyeing up more yarn in the next month. She lists them on etsy too. I'll let you know when she updates the shop.

Hope you're all doing well and making wonderful things!

Speckle and Pop Shawl FO

I started this shawl on Christmas morning. Using yarn from my stash, some gifted to me, some purchased from favorite yarn dyers and one from the NJ Sheep & Wool Festival. When I started it I had the intention of learning at least one technique as part of our "New to You" MAL. Little did I know that i would do many new things. I had never started a project with an icord cast on. What a clever way to start! This knit was challenging and kept my attention. I have to admit that towards the end I was ready to be done. I'm glad it stuck with it and I have already worn it a few times. I plan on wearing this to Maryland Sheep & Wool in May.
