Spring Nights

Spring nights are so nice at the farm.
Warmer temps and babies playing. How can you resist?

Here are some photos from tonight's outside play time.

Have a great week!

Today is Wednesday

Today is Wednesday :)

Joining up with the weekly yarn along to share what I'm knitting and reading this week.
And of course I throw in a few extra....

Most of my knitting lately has been mindless. It's the only thing I can knit while sitting at the baseball fields (which I feel like I do nearly every day!) I prepped for my group knitting lessons I'm teaching and I knitted a few more rows on my Stole shawl.
So, not much to report or show on the knitting front this week.

So I'll make up for it in cute animal and kid pics :)

Onto the kid and animal pics...
A sunshine filled day and some fun in the sand.

We chopped Garrett's hair. I love it. He's still mad at us. This photo was taken on the way to his 4th grade band concert. He did awesome. So proud of him. He has been playing the trumpet for less than a year and was able to stand up in front of everyone and play America the Beautiful with a few other of the select students. So proud!

This is my baby sister and her babies.

And look who's smiling :) Baby Grant, 6 weeks old and cute as can be.

Here is the little baby alpaca. He's waiting for his new friends to be born. Any day now!!!
Hair cuts tomorrow for the herd. Hope it doesn't rain all day!!!!

Happy knitting and reading (oh yeah...forgot about that. I need a book. Any suggestions?)

Yarn Along Wednesday

Thank you for all the kind words about the new baby in the family!
My sister Liz and Nick are doing great and Baby Grant is soooooo cute!
Big brother Wade loves him. They come home from the hospital today.
Such an exciting part of life :)

On to some knitting....
I designed and released the pattern for this little dress
earlier this week. It's so sweet and cute!
If I only had a girl....oh well. We only make boys in this family,
so I'll get my girly out with knits.

I called this dress the Flower Bud Dress.
It's for sale on Ravelry by clicking the link here:

I knitted this with alpaca yarn that my sister Liz dyed.
We sell it on the farm. It used just under 1 skein of the green
and left over white alpaca yarn for the flower and edging.

I also finished up the little purple dress I was working on last week.

This is my pattern, "Her First Dress"
It's also for sale on Ravelry.

This dress is knitted with Shibui Merino/Alpaca yarn in the Velvet colorway.
I love this dress.

After years of knitting, I'm excited to be designing.
It's a new adventure for me and I love it.

Hope you all have a great week! (Joining in with Ginny for the yarn along)

Our farm is closed today (Wednesday April 9th). We're sorry for the inconvenience.
We are welcoming the new baby home today, so we'll be busy with family.

Again, God Bless my new little nephew, Grant. You are so handsome and perfect and we all love you so much and are so happy you are here!!!

Happy Knitting,
Leanne
