Welcome to the Farm, Leo "Little Dude"

Can you handle the cuteness??!!!! Introducing Leo "Little Dude", my mom and dad's new pup! Leo is a 6 month old mini Australian labradoodle. He fits right in and if you ask my mom, he's the best puppy in the whole wide WORLD. And I have to agree...he's pretty amazing. Fits right in, sweet, and I'm pretty sure he's a human in dog's fur. Makes me so happy to have a new pup on the farm to love.

Welcome to the farm little dude. We all love you already.

Photo Dump

Spring has sprung (sprinkled in with some snow squalls!!!!) It's been crazy around here in Jersey with the weather. Just as it felt like spring was on it's way, the cold blast came right back. Spring baseball has kicked off and it's good knitting time for me. I'm determined to get my Trouville Sweater knitted for Maryland Sheep & Wool. It's a fingering weight sweater and it just seems to take fooooorrrrevvvver.

I got down to the beach and inlet a few times in the past few days to say hi to the ocean. It's a quick drive from the baseball field between warm-up drop off and game start. It always calms me to see the beach. I should really visit every day being we are so close!

I'm also knitting a shawl for my friend Carrie. She's so funny. She crochets but she likes the way knitted pieces look and has been asking me to knit her a sweater for years. I don't make adult size sweaters for others because it would cost me so much to charge someone!!! So she begged to pay me to knit a shawl. She gave me the yarn and I said yes :) She asked for the Susan Joy Shawl designed by my sister Andee. You can find the pattern link here. I'm knitting it in Chelsea Yarns cobblestone.

Our kitten is still the best. He really is...I'm not just saying that. We are so lucky. I miss my dog soooooooo much. So when I found this Life Is Good water bottle in TJ Maxx I just HAD to get it. It looks like Jeter and it's holding knitting!!!! Come on!!!! A nice little sign from above from him. I didn't know how hard it would be to not have him with us anymore.

Between Chase's baseball games we took a quick stop over to The Allenwood General Store for porkroll and cheese. While we were waiting for our food we took a stroll through their antique section. I always love seeing the stuff they have! It's everywhere, hangs from the ceiling, the walls, on the floor. So much to look at.

For our monthly Patreon cocktail hour we made yummy shrimp and grits as our appetizer and these delicious Strawberry, Basil and Honey Punch cocktails. Delicious! I love our cocktail hours. It's so much fun to hang out with our people. I always feel happy when we spend time together. It's a virtual hour with people from all over. So much fun!

Time to get back to work...just wanted to say hello! I also have to edit our podcast. We recorded on Saturday night after cocktail hour but I have to get it edited and published! Maybe tonight....

Cheers!

Sawks

Never in my life did I think I would be so in love with a cat!
This guy is the cutest, snuggliest, smart, silly and wonderful little cat. I'm so glad he's ours.

Lunchtime Walk

Little signs of spring are everywhere on the farm (if you look closely).
Here are so scenes from a walk I took earlier this week.

Missing our dog so much. I stop and say hi for a bit on my walks.
Think I can train a cat to walk on a leash??! hahah. I really want to.

Looking forward to my long walk on Sunday morning with my friend, Carrie. I'm in charge of Liz's dogs so I'll be taking Sunny Girl along for the morning! Can't wait.

Have a great weekend :)
