Yarn Along

Hello! Happy Yarn Along Day!
Joan and I decided to give Susan B. Anderson's Smooth Operator Socks.
We are both "newish" sock knitters and still trying to figure out the best pattern for our feet and what we like to knit. I don't love knitting socks, but I do like wearing them and there is a certain satisfaction of finishing a pair.
No matter what the outcome, we have fun knitting together and laughing.

The other knit I have in the works is the Ironheart sweater from the Heart on My Sleeves book.
I'm making the 1-2 year size for someone that comes to the farm.

I don't have a book right now. I need one!!! I finished Swimming Lessons. I really liked it but the ending is left very open ended. I didn't mind it, just curious to read what other people thought about it. Any book recommendations???

Happy knitting!
Joining in with Ginny for the yarn along.

  1. There are so many ways to knit a sock... my preferred method is cuff down with short row heel. I see you are a fan of Fat Squirrel Speaks as well! I need to catch up with her.

  3. Love the yoke on that sweater pattern! Your socks turned out great. There is a different sort of satisfaction that arises with knitting socks. Right up there with knitting a blanket!
