Mid Summer

The hot summer days are here.The 4th of July weekend weather was perfection here. I was a lazy bum and enjoyed lots of beach time reading, knitting, soaking in the sun. I have read three good books this summer so far: here,  here and here, knitting lots of projects, fireworks, cooking, vlogging and spending time with family. 

 

Deep Breaths and Noticing the Little Things

 

June has been full of highs and lows. I'm trying my best to take deep breaths and enjoy the little things.

New flower blooms, bees making honey, baby chicks (oh so cute), watching a broody mom take care of the cute baby chicks, cuddling with my dog, knitting outside, catching up with my favorite podcasts and patreon videos, connecting with my favorite people.

Summer is here

 Last Monday I was wearing a heavy sweater. Today, I'm sweating. Ah, NJ....you are an interesting place to live! Summer is here. Hot, humid and all the things. Sharing some photos I took over the weekend.

Some much needed beach time to finish my book (5 stars!!!!!!!), Cookbook Club "The Lost Kitchen, Erin French" themed (yummmmmm) and I added three baby chicks to my flock! SO CUTE!
