Rhinebeck countdown is on! Only 9 days until the fairgrounds will be filled to the brim with knitters, crocheters, fiber enthusiasts, farmers, shepherds, sheep, vendors, food and fun! I am soooo looking forward to it! Rhinebeck has been nicknamed "Knitter's Prom". People wear their creations proudly and everyone takes notice of the hard work and talent at the festival.
I made two sweaters for the occasion but to be honest, I'm not happy with either. They're just "not me". Not my typical colors or style. It's been bugging me. So what did I do? Casted on a new sweater last night with leftover yarn from my stash. In "my colors" and style. Now, can I get it done by next weekend????Maybe. Maybe not. But I'm going to try...because, why not?
I am knitting the Juniper Crop by Caitlyn Hunter. If I get it done, great. If not, I'll enjoy working on it while hanging at our rental house enjoying great company and beautiful views.
An added bonus of the year is my billboard artwork is STILL being used! I still get excited to see it. They have been using it since 2019 despite other artwork being chosen for the festival book and swag.
Will I see you there?! I hope so!
Oh wow. I have a sweater that I am knitting that has been on the needles for a couple of years. I can't confidently knit that fast. This is going to be so pretty.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I enjoyed our first visit to your farm today. We plan to visit again to shop before Christmas. Good luck finishing the sweater by next weekend!
