I love a good book. It's rare that you will find me without a book going. Knitting and reading sometimes fight with each other, but when my hands are tired from knitting, the book takes it's place. I tend to read the most in the summer with the longer days and beach time.
My friends all look to me for book recommendations. I know what they like and we almost always like the same books. The only problem is that I'm usually the recommender and when I ask for recommendations, often I have read them.
So I ask you, readers of my blog for some good books.
They can be serious...funny...love stories...anything.
Just a top list of books that stay with you, entertained you, books that you were sad were over....you know the kind.
Here are my top picks in no particular order:
This Is Where I Leave You
A Fall of Marigolds
Room
The Kitchen House
I Am Pilgrim
The Goldfinch
Thirteenth Tale
Forgotten Garden
Cutting for Stone
Language of Flowers
Tell the Wolves I'm Home
Before I Go to Sleep
The Scandalous Summer of Sissy LeBlanc
There are numerous book lists online, but I thought I would plug into my readers.
Please join in and share some of your favorites!
I also keep a running list of what I've read on my Shelfari list.
