Wednesday Yarn Along

Kids left for school this morning. I am usually quite joyous on this day. However, I was full of mixed emotions this morning. As the boys have grown older, they are much less annoying (who are we kidding...as much as I LOVE my kids, they can be annoying) They are actually great company lately and a huge help with the baby. So as excited as I am for them to start a new school year, I'll miss them during the day. I can't wait to hear all their stories when they get home. Who's in their class, what they'll be doing all year, etc....and back to school means lots of bus stop knitting!

Anywho...

On to the important stuff :)
KNITTING!

It's been slow around here for me. Not sure why. But started a new sweater for myself. It's in this fabulous chunky super soft yarn and it's a nice royal/navy blue color. Perfect for cheering on Manasquan High School's football team this fall.

Still reading Secret Daughter. I really like this book. Just need to sit down and finish it!!!

I know Andee has some more projects but I don't have her pictures yet. So I'll update this later.

Happy Knitting!

  4. My two older boys go back to school this week and the house just does not feel right without all 4 kids in it! I love the chunky yarn in your sweater. :)

  5. I just finished a lacy prayer shawl in one of those nubby homespun yarns. It wasn't too easy to work with but yielded a quick result. That was nice, but I'm happy to be making socks and mitts in easier yarn. I'll take photographs after the washing and stretching are done. Love the blue yarn!!
