For anyone that really knows us, we were a huge soccer family long before alpacas took over.
Our weekdays were spent at various practices, weekends spent driving all over creation to our games,
summers spent at hot (or soaking wet) tournaments.
A million great memories.
Injuries.
Trophies.
Success.
Plain old fun.
That was our life for many years.
Back surgery and a broken hip later, I still dream of playing.
But pathetically, I get a sore elbow just from knitting, so clearly my soccer days are done.
So for now, I will scream like a crazy lady from my living room today as I cheer our
women's olympic team as they play for the gold medal.
GO USA! And our local girl, Christie Rampone!
Good luck girls. Let's win.
On another note, the girls and I will be getting together for knitting club tonight. We have not knitted together since Tara's birthday in May! TOO long. I will once again attempt to bake a cake. This time for Quinn. Oh my. Let the games begin.

Go USA. I have to look up what time they are playing. Thanks for the 10 for 10 reminder! I totally would have forgotten. Too bad it is supposed to storm all day tomorrow.
