Can you hear the national anthem being played? Do you see the US flag being lifted into the air?
A bouquet of flowers in my hand, medal around my neck?
No?
Oh. Maybe I should get a grip.
Point is, my shawl is done!!!!!!!!!! My Olympic project is complete.
I did the bind off late last night. It's the same feeling as finishing a really good book.
I'm happy to have it complete, but it was a fun project that accompanied me to many baseball games, nights at home, car rides and more and I will miss working on it.
Technically, I didn't start the shawl during the Olympics, but I worked on it and finished it since the opening ceremony. So, in my mind, this is my olympics.
I have some ends to weave in today and then I will do a proper photo shoot.
Now.....time to finish up that tank.
I'm reading Rules of Civility. I hope to get some good reading time in. The book is well written and so far the story is interesting. Just haven't been able to get a good chunk of reading done because...oh yeah, the shawl.
For those that are interested, here are my ravelry notes.
Stop by Ginny's blog today to join in the yarn along fun. And check out her husband this week! He's the one posting and knitting today. Very funny. Now, do you think I can get Rick to knit???? Hah.
I'm sure he can be bribed.
Have a great day, happy knitting and GO USA!
Make sure to watch our girls go for gold tomorrow during the soccer match vs. Japan.
So exciting!!!!! I scream the whole time. Poor baby thinks I'm yelling at him the whole time.
